Andrea began her paralegal career twelve years ago in Rhode Island as a litigation paralegal for a group that served as National Counsel for a major retail pharmacy chain. In 2012, she joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Baton Rouge as a legal assistant for the criminal division. After working in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Andrea joined the largest full-service law firm in the Capital Region where she served as a toxic tort litigation paralegal. For the past six years, Andrea has been the Program Coordinator for the LSU Paralegal Studies Program. She resides in Baton Rouge with her husband, sons, and fur babies.

Kelli has been employed at Louisiana State University for almost 18 years. Her various areas of expertise include adult education, administration, online learning, custom, and on-site course coordination, professional development training, and grant writing and administration. In her leisure time, Kelli enjoys reading and spending time with her family and fur babies.

Paralegal Studies Certificate Instructor; Attorney, The Steffes Firm, LLC

Mrs. Melancon has been an attorney in the private sector since 2005. Her present practice concentrates on commercial reorganization and liquidation representing debtors and creditors, and related business litigation. She has been a speaker for numerous continuing legal education seminars and served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Bankruptcy Section of the Louisiana State Bar Association. She has been an instructor with Online and Continuing Education since 2008. Currently, she teaches Principles of Paralegal Studies, Bankruptcy Law, Business Law, Contract Law and Criminal Law.
