Contact the Department of Veteran Affairs to obtain your certificate of eligibility (COE) or your respective military branch for more information. LSU students and alumni have taken advantage of the Post 9/11 GI Bill, Veteran Readiness & Employment (VR&E), Joint Services Transcript (JST), and more.

Earn Credit for Military Training

You may be able to receive college credit for your Army, Navy, Airforce, or Marine Corps training once enrolled. Ask your Enrollment Coach about transfer credits from military programs you’ve completed from CCAF, CDET, METC, and more.

Apply for Admission

Use Your VA Benefits

During your application process, you should inform the specific campus admissions office about your intent to use VA Education benefits. Applicants will be guided through the necessary steps, including providing the required documentation, such as a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Once the COE and other documents are received and verified, the campus admissions office will assist in certifying your enrollment with the VA. We're committed to supporting our military and veteran students throughout their time with us. Each LSU institution offers benefits for veterans and military students, including financial aid options and service credits.
